Abstract: | Zusammenfassung der Dissertation von Pablo A. Walter
neuartige monofunktionale Farbstoffe herzustellen.
polymerbasierten Solarzellen einzusetzen. Es konnte gezeigt
werden, dass das Konzept prinzipiell funktioniert. Abstract: Phd thesis of Pablo A. Walter Subject of the thesis: Functional blockcopolymers for photovoltaic applications The central goal of the thesis was the development of a novel solar cells system on the basis of blockcopolymers consisting of an electron donor und an electron acceptor block. In this context the fact that blockcopolymers tend to phase separate on a nanometer scale was used to control and influence the morphology within the system. All material characteristics for operating a solar cell have to be covered by the blockcopolymer. In order to attain this goal monomers and new monofunctional dyes had to be synthesised. The synthesis of functional homo- and blockcopolymers was preformed in a target-orientated way. These polymers have been successfully functionalised with several new monofunctional cyanine dyes. In the course of characterising the polymers glasstemperatures, molecular weights and polydispersities have been investigated. Furthermore, within the scope of the polymeranalogues conversions new methods to investigate conversions have been developed. The essential electrochemical material properties for the solar cells such as the HOMOs and the LUMOs have been invested by cyclovoltammetry of the polymers. In addition TEM measurements helped to display the phaseseparation of both blocks. By building new solar cell devices consisting of these blockcopolymers, this concept was confirmed. |
