Herkunftsspezifisches Passungserleben im Kita-Fachkraft–Eltern–Verhältnis

Abstract

Obwohl Bourdieus und Passerons These zur kulturellen Passung schon rund 50 Jahre besteht und mit einer gelungenen Bildungs- und Erziehungspartnerschaft große Hoffnungen für die Förderung von Bildungschancen verbunden werden, gerät das herkunftsspezifische Passungsverhältnis zwischen Kita-Fachkräften und Eltern erst in den letzten Jahren ins Blickfeld erziehungswissenschaftlicher Forschung. In der hier vorgestellten Querschnittstudie wird an die bisher vorwiegend qualitativen Forschungsbefunde angeknüpft und das Fachkraft-Eltern-Verhältnis von N = 93 Vorschulkindern mit einem standardisierten Fragebogen untersucht.

Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Fachkräfte die Beziehung zu Eltern mit hoher ökonomischer und kultureller Kapitalausstattung im Vergleich zu Eltern mit niedriger Ausstattung positiver bewerten. Dagegen ist die Bewertung der Beziehung durch die Eltern unabhängig von deren Kapitalausstattung. Die kulturelle Herkunft der Eltern sowie deren Familiensprache haben weder bei den Fachkräften noch bei den Eltern selbst Einfluss auf die Beurteilung des Fachkraft-Eltern-Verhältnisses.

Although Bourdieu and Passeron’s thesis on cultural fit dates back about 50 years and great hopes for the promotion of educational opportunities are associated with a successful educational partnership, the background-specific fit between day-care centre staff and parents has only come into the focus of educational research in recent years. This cross-sectional study addresses the predominantly qualitative research findings and examines the professional-parent relationship of N = 93 preschool children using a standardised questionnaire.

The results show that professionals evaluate the relationship with parents with high economic and cultural capital resources more positively compared to parents with lower capital. In contrast, the parents’ evaluation of the relationship is independent of their capital resources. The cultural background of the parents as well as their family language have no influence on the assessment of the professional-parent relationship, neither for the professionals nor for the parents themselves.
