Lachgas : Stellenwert gestern, heute, morgen

Abstract

"Lachgas: Stellenwert gestern, heute, morgen" ist die Dissertation von Frau Dr. med. Susanne Maier. Dies ist die erste wissenschaftliche Arbeit, die die gesamte bisherige Literatur zu Lachgas seit Anbeginn der medizinischen Nutzung aufwendig aufgearbeitet hat. Nach dem dies Buch erschien, fingen viele europäische Kliniken an, den Lachgasgebrauch zu hinterfragen. In Folge verschwand dieses "Narkosegas" nun weltweit aus immer mehr OPs. Mangels Evidenz, welches diese Arbeit belegt, wird sicherlich absehbar dies Gas ganz aus der Humanmedizin (Schulmedizin) verschwinden. Im Rahmen eines Expertenmeetings nach der Veröffentlichung zeichnete sich dies bereits ab.

"The Significance of Nitrous Oxide Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" is the title of Dr. med. Susanne Maier, MD's dissertation. This is the first scientific paper to thoroughly document the entire span of literature on nitrous oxide (IUPAC name is: Dinitrogen monoxide) from the very beginnings of its medical use until today. After this book appeared, many European hospitals began to scrutinise their use of laughing gas. As a consequence, this "narcotic gas" has begun to disappear from more and more operating rooms worldwide. The dearth of evidence brought to light by this study makes it entirely conceivable that nitrous oxide will eventually completely disappear from use in human medicine (conventional medicine). This trend was already becoming apparent within the context of an expert meeting that took place after the publication of this book.
