| de_DE |
dc.description.abstract | The dissertation here addresses synthesis and investigation of functional rylene\r\ndyes. This dye class is characterized by easy functionalisation, high chemical\r\nand photochemical stability, high absorption coefficients and fluorescence\r\nquantum yields close to 100%. Rylene diimides play an import role in modern\r\nmaterial sciences. One focus of this work lies in the synthesis and investigation of perylene diimides for applications in organic electronics. The substitution of PDI has a significant influence on their supramolecular organization and behavior in electronic devices. The introduction of new substituents leads to a greater understanding of this behavior. Multichromophoric systems are important model compounds both for the investigation of energy transport processes and as single photon sources. Thus\r\nanother focus is on the synthesis of multichromophoric PDI systems. This\r\npart includes the synthesis of defined dendritic nano particles on the basis of\r\npoly(phenylenethinylen)-dendrimers as well as of ethynylene-bridged polymers\r\nbased on PDI-monomers. Due to their extraordinary spectral properties, perylene and terrylene diimides play an important role as fluorescent labels. Therefore another aspect of this work deals with the synthesis of fluorescent dyes for the future investigation of polymerization reactions and biological setups. | en_GB |
