Abstract:	Im Mittelpunkt der Studie stehen europäische Netzwerke der Sozialen Arbeit als spezifische Akteure der europäischen Zivilgesellschaft. Sie bilden ein „transnationales Feld“ mit spezifischen Strukturen und Handlungsmustern in Europa aus, das mit Blick auf die Kooperationsbeziehungen von Organisationen der Sozialen Arbeit in Deutschland betrachtet wird. Vor dem Hintergrund verschiedener Forschungsperspektiven wird das „Startkapitel“ deutscher Organisationen Sozialer Arbeit analysiert, das im Transnationalisierungsprozess noch unzureichend eingesetzt wird. Ferner wird das transnationale Feld der zivilgesellschaftlichen Netzwerke im Hinblick auf Kapitalstrukturen im „europäischen Spiel“ untersucht. Die europäischen Netzwerke werden als Produzenten von Transnationalität fokussiert; in ihnen verschränkt sich das nationale Kapital der Mitglieder mit dem transnationalen Kapital der zivilgesellschaftlichen Netzwerke. Die Bearbeitung der Spannungsverhältnisse Konkurrenz und Kooperation, Homogenität und Heterogenität, Autonomie und Heteronomie, Dissens und Konsens durch eine diskursive Auseinandersetzung im Feld ermöglicht es, Transnationalität als Handlungsmuster zu generieren. The study focuses on European networks of Social Work as particular actors of the European civil society. These generate a “transnational arena” within Europe with its specific structures and its very own ways of interacting. This arena is analysed by looking at the means of co-operation of German welfare organisations. The question of the “seed capital” of German organisations (which is currently insufficiently employed on the European level) is discussed against the background of different research perspectives. Furthermore, it is the financial structure that is significant to the transnational arena of the civil society networks on the European level that are the main focus of this study. The European networks will be approached as producers of transnationality which hold the national resources of their members on one side and the transnational assets of the civil society networks on the other. By balancing different inconsistencies, such as competition and co-operation i.e., transnationality can derive as a characteristic orientation in the field of civil society actors.
